LA, also known as the City of Angels, is the epitome of the American dream, offering sunshine, beaches, celebrities, and endless fun.
Our programme takes place at California State Channel Islands University (CSUCI), a stunning Californian campus surrounded by palm trees and lemon grows. Nestled in the hills north of Malibu in Ventura county, this campus is only ten minutes from the beach and Camarillo’s town centre. The campus sports Spanish-style architecture, relaxing courtyards, and stunning views of the lemon orchards and strawberry fields.
The campus has a state of the art library designed by Norman Foster, a swimming pool, and first-class sports facilities.

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
Study Trips in America
Students stay in mini-apartments with two twin rooms and one shared bathroom, located within the campus residences.
The programme includes full-board catering from Monday to Friday. On weekends, half-board is provided, with lunch at students’ own expense. Two dinners will take place off-campus.
ENGLISH COURSE
English Summer School in Los Angeles
15 hours of lessons per week:
General English Course for A1 and A2 levels
World of Work Course for B1 to C2 levels
Classes are held in the mornings.
The World of Work Course, designed by TLA School, covers current social and economic issues in the US and includes skills and strategies to help students prepare for entering the job market.
All teachers are fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language. Classes are formed based on a placement test taken at the beginning of the course, ensuring each student is placed in an appropriate class for their proficiency level.
The school will provide study materials, and a certificate of attendance will be given to all students upon course completion.
FREE TIME
Study Holiday in Los Angeles: Free Time
- 2 full-day excursions exploring Los Angeles, including visits to Santa Barbara and the Getty Museum & The Grove.
- 3 half-day trips with dinners off-campus, featuring Malibu Zuma Beach & Camarillo Outlets Target, Hollywood Walk of Fame & Griffith Observatory, and Santa Monica.
- A 3-day/2-night mini-tour to Las Vegas, where students will experience the excitement of the entertainment capital, visit the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, and stop at Barstow Outlets on the way back to Los Angeles.
Evenings on campus will be packed with fun activities organised by the school staff, such as karaoke, disco nights, movie nights, and sports.
